Business Botswana will be hosting its 24th Northern Trade Fair on the 23rd -27th May 2018. Okavango Diamond Company Managing Director, Mr Marcus Te Haar will be officiating under the theme “Is tourism Botswana’s hope amidst dwindling mining fortunes?”
The aim of the fair is to provide exhibitors with an opportunity to actively promote their business and network with other exhibitors. In addition, the fair presents a significant opportunity for business branding and creation of new product visibility and to promote existing products. Further, the Trade Fair is a platform that can be used to lure investors into Francistown and this can be achieved through partnership which will help boost the economy of the city through cultivation of creative and innovative ideas that will make Francistown a vibrant, dynamic and caring place to live work & play. Government has played a significant role by providing a business enabling environment in which citizen entrepreneurs can participate through different policies, the Citizen Economic Empowerment (EDD), SMME Policy, therefore it is up to the private sector to leverage these policies for the economy to thrive and improve Botswana’s competitiveness thereby unlocking potential for economic growth.
The fair promise to be more epic as compared to the previous fairs. There will attractions such as; fashion show, golf challenge, business forum and other form of entertainment.
