BUSINESS BOTSWANA TO ATTEND THE 112 SESSION OF THE INTERNATIONAL LABOUR CONFERENCE (ILC)

The CEO of Business Botswana, Mr. Norman Moleele will lead a delegation of 14 members to participate in the 112 session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), scheduled from June 3rd to 14th 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland. The ILC is an annual meeting for governments, workers, and employers of the ILO member States, and is mandated to discuss a favourable and stable Labour relations climate in the member states. It also offers private sector employers to influence and shape current and future Labour laws.
Business Botswana’s attendance is prudent to ensure compliance with International Labour Standards and discuss important issues of concern. The private sector’s role at the conference is imperative as it can influence government and employers’ policies such as; the drafting of Conventions, and the monitoring of their implementation in member states.
