Today, Business Botswana had the pleasure of hosting members from the Eswatini Citizen Economic Empowerment Council (CEEP), as they explored Botswana’s Citizen Economic Empowerment (CEE) Programme . The visit marked an important exchange best practices aimed at promoting local entrepreneurship, protecting citizen-owned businesses, and fostering greater economic inclusion.
The discussions were centered on a range of topics, including ways to empower local entrepreneurs, support Indigenous businesses, and address challenges such as fronting. Both parties shared insights into policies and strategies that could strengthen the protection of citizen-owned enterprises and promote fair economic participation.
The visit is part of an ongoing effort to build stronger regional ties and promote cross-border collaboration that advances economic empowerment for local businesses in both Botswana and Eswatini. Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to policies that boost Indigenous business ownership, ensure economic inclusion, and promote sustainable growth.
